Bagnoli Blues (2499)

about

"Bagnoli Blues" was written as an anthem to turning something that looks to be bad at the outset, into something triumphantly victorious in the end. Bagnoli is a section of the city of Naples, Italy where the NATO military band once was based with the Commander-In-Chief of the Allied Forces in Southern Europe. I got "surprise" orders to go there near the end of my military band career and was very disappointed at first. It ultimately resulted in many great things coming to fruition. So, I learned another big lesson about reciprocity and always kept a positive attitude. Lemons and lemonade come to mind. It's the blues, but a "kick-your-ass" blues.
